Most homophobic people don’t listen to reason. This is even more apparent with adults, because they tend to respond less to conflicting narratives and generally show less change in their belief systems. While the support and allyship for the community evolves, there’s still a large amount of the younger demographic who aren’t against the community. It’s theoretically easier to make them change their views, and yields better results for the future of queer support. But they won’t listen to reason or logic, mostly because a large part of it is upbringing, peer pressure and some warped sense of humour. How would you get through to them? Do you believe it’s necessary?!
